The Medicinal Uses of a Fish Aquarium

I once heard that if U have high blood pressure that U could lower it by watching fish swim.

Now that I am hypertensive I have found this to be true of a fish aquarium. I purchased a 10 gallon tank at Walmart and set it up. It came with a pump and filter. I went to work setting up my new aquarium. I had smal pebbles at the bottom, some artificial greenery for decoration, and I built up some large flat rocks purchased at the pet store to provide shelter and privacy for the fish.

Three days after I had set up my tank and got it settled I went back to the pet store to purchase my fish. I was indecisive wether to get tropical fish or goldfish. Tropical fish have to have a warmer temperature at all times for them to thrive, yet the goldfish adapt very well to cool waters, so I chose the latter of the two.

There r different species of goldfish and I chose the pretty fantailed ones. I got a pretty white one with a Gold cap and named her “GOLDIE”, a Black one with big eyes and named him “POPPED EYES” to start. After a couple weeks I added 3 more fish to the tank.

I loved to sit and relax in the swivel rocker chair and watch them for hours. The gracefulness of their movements was awesome as if they were dancing a ballet and I had front row seats. It became a special time for me to spend with my new pets after a stressful day at work.

The next time I returned to the doctors office for a routine check–up I was informed my blood pressure was lower than usual and that it was a good blood pressure. I shared my secret with the doctor. He smiled and said keep up the good work.

So, I am highly recommending a fish aquarium for those who suffer from hypertension.
